Off the heels of night one with historic announcements, major upsets, and dramatic twists, night two of Wrestlemania 41 has the potential to make even more history. With Randy Orton set to have an open challenge that could be answered by “anybody in Vegas with a pair of boots” according to Orton’s phrasing during the announcement, and John Cena potentially set to overcome Ric Flair’s record of world titles, all eyes are set on Las Vegas for tonight’s event, and we will have all the results here!
Women’s World Championship: Iyo Sky (C) def. Rhea Ripley & Bianca Belair
With Iyo Sky having been underestimated for this entire build and Rhea and Bianca focusing more-so on each other than her, the match played out as you would expect. With the two powerhouses duking it out (and adding fuel to the fire for a singles match later down the line) Iyo Sky would utilize this source of frustration to her advantage. Bianca Belair would hit Rhea Ripley with a K.O.D towards the end of the match, and Iyo Sky, having been seemingly forgotten would fly in from out of no where with an Over the Moonsault to Bianca to pick up the victory in Night Two’s opening contest!
Sin City Street Fight: Drew McIntyre def. Damian Priest
This match would take place after months of animosity had been built up. Despite a brief stint with McIntyre referring to himself as a Bloodline Hunter, his attention would ultimately be diverted to Damian Priest who McIntyre believes had stolen from him, capitalizing on moment after moment, taking opportunity after opportunity from Drew. Things would quickly turn violent, resulting in a parking lot brawl where McIntyre would get slammed onto a car windshield, resulting in glass flying into his eye. Priest would state that McIntyre believes that Damian is a villain, so now he’s going to be a villain and is going to make McIntyre into a victim.
Drew McIntyre would come out with a very sponsored entrance, dressed up like Doomslayer from the Doom franchise while Priest would come out looking like a demon from Hell. It wouldn’t take long for the match to head out of the ring, with Priest taking a suplex onto the ramp in the first minute of the match and weapons quickly getting involved afterwards. The match would reach its conclusion after tables had been broken and steps had been used, with McIntyre putting Priest away with a Claymore into a steel chair.
Intercontinental Championship: Dominik Mysterio def. Finn Balor, Penta & Bron Breakker (C)
The Intercontinental championship had caught the eye of several wrestlers, including the likes of AJ Styles, but that was put to the side. The relevant players? The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor & Dominik Mysterio both found themselves wanting the title, however, Dominik would give up a title shot for Finn Balor, where Balor ultimately came up short to Bron Breakker. In a post-match attack, Bron Breakker would find himself overwhelmed by The Judgment Day, but Penta would end up coming out and making the save.
This would lead to a tag match with Penta teaming up with Breakker against The Judgment Day, but the duo would come up short due to a miscommunication that led to Breakker spearing Penta. The duo would then come to blows themselves, disagreeing over who was responsible for their failure, but Judgment Day was not willing to be put to the side. This would lead to the Wrestlemania Fatal 4 Way match for the Intercontinental title. The match would be chaos from the very beginning, with bodies flying everywhere and Carlito even making an appearance at ringside only to get hit with a spear through the announce table from Bron Breakker.
The match would end with Finn Balor hitting Breaker with a Coup De Grace, only to get hit with a frog splash during the pin from Dominik Mysterio! Mysterio would then pick up the pinfall victory on Finn Balor, and thus earn his first Intercontinental championship!
Randy Orton def. Joe Hendry
This match would originally be planned to be between Randy Orton and Kevin Owens, with Orton looking for vengeance after Kevin Owens hit him with a piledriver that put him on the shelf for a few months. However, those plans would be derailed by the unfortunate news that Kevin Owens had a neck injury that required surgery.
With his spot at Wrestlemania in jeopardy, Randy Orton would lash out and hit Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis with an RKO. Thankfully for him, he had paid his fine in advance. Orton would announce that he was going to be hosting an open challenge at Wrestlemania, and if anybody wanted to come answer it, whether you’re from RAW, Smackdown, NXT, or even just so happen to be in Vegas and own a pair of boots, you can come answer his challenge.
With everybody asking who would answer the challenge, many names would be thrown out there such as Nick Aldis, Rusev, and Aleister Black… but while everybody was listing off names, somebody, somewhere must’ve said this one individual’s name because the open challenge would be answered by Joe Hendry!
The match would be brief, but fun with Orton ultimately picking up the victory after catching Joe Hendry in the middle of his pose with an RKO.
Logan Paul def. AJ Styles
Honestly, I don’t pay attention when Logan Paul’s on my TV so, I can’t tell you what actually happened.
Women’s Tag Team Championships: Lyra Valkyria & Becky Lynch def. Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez (C)
This match was previously advertised as being Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez vs. Lyra Valkyria & Bayley, however due to an off-screen backstage attack on the night one pre-show that caused a shoulder injury, Bayley would be removed from the match and Lyra would be told that she’d have to find a new tag team partner within the next twenty four hours. And Lyra would score Big Time as her partner would be revealed to be Becky Lynch!
Becky Lynch had been out of action since May of 2024, where she would be defeated by Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage match for the Women’s World Championship on Monday Night RAW, thanks to some help from Dominik Mysterio.
Becky would ultimately get some payback as she would pick up the pinfall victory for her team over Liv Morgan after a Manhandle Slam. This would be Becky’s second time holding one half of the Women’s Tag Team titles, and Lyra Valkyria’s first time as she now holds both one half of the Women’s Tag Team titles as well as the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Stone Cold crashes not only Wrestlemania, but also his ATV
Ahead of the main event match between Cody Rhodes and John Cena, the sound of glass shattering would fill the arena, and Stone Cold would arrive on an ATV! He’d speed down the ramp and to ringside, where whilst circling the ring he would end up crashing into the barricade (with nobody appearing to get hurt), it would seem he’d already indulged in a few cans of Broken Skull beer. Austin would then announce the attendance number for night two.
Main Event – Undisputed WWE Championship: John Cena def. Cody Rhodes (C)
Ever since John Cena announced his retirement tour last year at Money in the Bank, questions have been circling about whether or not Cena would be able to win one last world championship that’d break Ric Flair’s record. Could Cena get that elusive number seventeen? Cena would get one step closer to achieving that goal at Elimination Chamber back in March after outlasting five other competitors to become the number one contender. It would be at this same event that John Cena would now infamously turn heel, hitting Cody Rhodes with a low blow and aligning himself with The Final Boss, The Rock.
The match would begin with Cena appearing dominant, however Cody would ultimately fight his way back into the match before getting caught in the STFU. After a long struggle, Cody would be able to kick Cena off of him, sending Cena into the referee who would take a tumble. Travis Scott would then arrive, making another appearance in the WWE after previously slapping Cody during the Cena heel turn, rupturing Cody’s eardrum. Cody would get some payback, hitting Travis Scott with a Cross Rhodes. Cena would then attempt to use the Undisputed WWE championship as a weapon, but would be stopped by Cody who would take the title for himself, but he wouldn’t be able to bring himself to use the title, to stoop to that level and he would pay for it as Cena hit Cody with a low blow. Cena would then crack the title over Cody’s head, and be victorious.
With this victory, John Cena wins his seventeenth world title and breaks Ric Flair’s record, and the question becomes “Who dethrones John Cena?”
